Kannada Department established in the year 1956. Present Head of the Dept. is Smt. Sangamma Ainapur, well-known research scholar & writer . The Department Students are an active & dynamic they participate in many debate/ Elocution competitions.

Kannada Department result are almost all year is 100%, The appreciating thing is that in academic result maximum number of the students passed with Distinction & First class. The department conducts regular seminars, group discussion & assignments. At present student strength of the department B.Sc -I Sem is 220 & B.Sc-III Sem is 240.

FUTURE PLAN OF THE DEPARTMENT :

• Skill based training to students.
• To take up Major research projects for faculty.
