Department of Defence & Strategic Studies SBVV Sangha Sharnbasveshwar College of Science, Kalaburagi is a single faculty science college started in the year 1956 to impact need based and moral education to the students of Hyderabad Karnataka region.

Defense & Strategic Studies is the discipline which covers all strategic as well as domestic issues that influence the security or defense of the country. A degree in Defense Studies promotes the development and improvement of military education and creation of awareness about national security among civilians

The department was stated in the year 1996, the department has well organized infrastructure with qualified teaching staff. A spacious staff room. The classes are conducted by experts from defense & NCC. Where they train the students about the parried pattern & help the students learn the military discipline among the civilians.

OBJECTIVE OF THE DEPARTMENT :

• To prepare the degree students for joining the defense forces & helping the forces to increase there officer strength as & when required.
